Survivors include his 4 children: Roger Jauer and his wife Karen of Hinton, Richard Jauer of Hinton, Joyce Thill and her husband Adrian of Minneapolis, MN, and Jim Jauer and his wife Kim of Hinton 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren a sister, Jean Israel and her husband John of Loveland, CO 3 in-laws: Alvina Nuebel and Mildred Hoss of Le Mars and Roy Sitzmann Sr. During his retirement years, Buzz continued to help on the farm and enjoyed helping with the annual Jauer cattle sale. He was awarded the designation of Master Pork Producer. He built one of the first modern hog confinements in Plymouth County. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota and Canada.īuzz loved all aspects of farming and raising livestock. Buzz enjoyed playing golf a sport he did not discover until the 1960’s. Dolly passed away on October 11, 2010.īuzz and Dolly enjoyed neighborhood card clubs for many years. In 2006, Buzz and Dolly moved to Holy Spirit Assisted Living in Sioux City. ![]() In 1975, they built a new home on the family farm and continued to live on the farm until 2006. Buzz and Dolly farmed near Hinton raising crops and livestock for many years. Buzz was united in marriage to Monica “Dolly” Margaret Sitzmann on Februat St. As a young boy, Buzz was a member of 4-H where he enjoyed showing cattle.įollowing high school Buzz continued farming with his father. He attended country school at Hungerford #6 and later graduated from Hinton High School in 1933. As a young child, Glenn received the nickname “Buzz” from a sibling and was known as “Buzz” from then on. Glenn was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.
